I was so excited to get Emerson this chair! I debated it for a long time because it was expensive, but I am glad I decided to get it, she LOVES climbing all over it!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was so fun this year shopping for Emerson. I was probably more excited than she was! A few of Emerson's friends moms' and I may have gone over board, but we had fun telling each other what toys we found at what stores so we could all run out and check them out! We also had many conversations about what would be from Santa and what would be from mom and dad! We had a great year this year! John and I didn't really wrap things for each other, I guess it's all about the kids now! But we did not forget ourselves, John got some new boots and sunglasses and some silly Nintendo game he wanted, and I got a pair of sparkle Toms, and new car! We spent Xmas Eve at the Sonsini's, then woke up Xmas morning at our house to see what Santa brought! Emerson had a lot of fun! She would get stuck on 1 toy, so after a while John and I just opened everything! We had so many new toys, we had to convert our front living room to a play room, and she loves it! She spends all day playing, even eats breakfast in there now! After we took a quick nap, we headed to Gigi's and Papa's for the day! She once again, made out like a bandit in the toy department! She got a big cozy coupe car! My mom pushed her around from tree to tree (she has 3..) checking out the ornaments and lights! After we ate and had presents, we loaded up in a limo and drove around with our coffee and beer checking out Christmas lights! Emerson had passed out, but the rest of us had a good time! We had a great Christmas and 2010 year! We look forward to 2011! Happy New year to everyone!

Family Pics

Last weekend, on Sunday the 5th, we had our 2010 family pics done! A friend of mine that I met at Emerson's library class took them, they turned out great, thanks Natalie! We have not gotten any of the 3 of us since her Newborn pics! It was freezing, poor little Emerson was shaking while we were taking them! The white dress she is wearing is one that my mom made for me when I was little!

Parade of Lights

Friday night, we bundled up with some friends and went to the Keller parade of lights! Emerson had so much fun eating on the lawn, then bolting away while waiting for the parade to start. She did not want to stay put. She really wasn't that interested in it, but at the end they had police horses (that were huge) and she was saying "hi doggy, hi bubba"! It was so cute!

First meeting with Santa this year was not the greatest. She was only scared when I actually put her in his lap! We have a few more Santa things planned, and definitley more cute Christmas clothes, so we will try again! But, she did like the guy dressed as Rudoph, she kept saying "bubba", which is what she calls Hank!

13 Months!

At what age do we start counting in years and not months? Who cares, we celebrate every month birthday for Emerson in this house! We celebrated month 13 by getting some yogurt and playing, and then extended celebration to Monday when we had library and flu shot! I'm so excited for Christmas this year for Emerson. Last year I did not go crazy buying her things because she was only 2 months old! I did get her a few things, like books, soft toys, etc. Most were for really young babies, so I may pack them away after she sees what Santa has brought this year! We have been working day in and day on on HO HO HO! At first, she was patting my leg. Now she is onto my shoulder, and she even did her own belly one time! Her HO HO HO sounds more like a HA HA HA, but nonetheless you can tell what she is doing! We read her Christmas books every night, that I bought in June, I have been waiting so long to get them out! And this week kicked of the wearing of all her Christmas outfits!!! She's such a hoot, and is a little bit more fun each day! And for the moment, she absolutely loves brushing her teeth! Little stinker!

P.S. . Dada bought us a new car last week!! I sold my old car and got a newer version! I love it! It's a black Lexus RX 330! The best part is the build in touch screen with GPS, because I use it so often on my phone, and now I can do it safely! Thank you dada, we love you!
