Christmas Eve
We spent Christmas Eve making cookies for Santa, napping because both girls were sick, then church and dinner and we said goodbye to tour elf, Snowflake! It was a fun, relaxing day spent with my little family!

She only rolled for a second, she was waiting on the couch not feeling well

homeade cookies are messy!

the girls and dad cutting lots of cookies

waiting for them to bake !

John got distracted and made a giraffe and dog paw..

more cookies!

this is serious work

headed to church!

silent night!

decorating time!

Maddy's first Santa cookie

then she started eating sprinkles by the spoon full

some of their handy work! Santa loved them! Emerson likes using the blue sprinkles because they're frozen she says

time to test them to see if they are Santa approved!

Snowflake left a letter letting the girls know Santa had lifted her powers for them to play but return her here to fly away! They were SO excited to hug her. I mean screaming excited! Our elf leaves a Christmas book every Christmas eve before he or she flies away for the year! I say he or she because Emerson changed the gender this year

she was so happy to thank her elf

book time

they love getting their Christmas book before bed!

some reading!

Maddy saying her goodbyes!

Emerson carefully selected a talking Sven for Hank this year and she wanted him to have it in his stocking

sprinkling reindeer food!

Our own personal reindeer ate some !

Girls are winding down as we wait for Santa

One last cruise around to see Christmas lights before bed ! We thought we saw Santa flying in the sky but it turned out to be an airplane. There is no fooling Emerson, hahah

of course he came for the lights!

cookies and milk are out!

I like to take a picture to remember what they were into each year!
