Today was nice weather to play outside! Emerson had a blast in the leaves!

Christmas 2011

This Christmas was great! We get to spend the holiday with both of our families which is so nice. We started out Xmas Eve at the Sonsini's and boy did Emerson get spoiled by aunts and uncles! We made it home with a tent, a key board, tons of art things, new shoes, a play house to color and build, books, and much more. Emerson was so exhausted when we got home, she could hardly open her Christmas eve gift from us! It was the book the Spirit of Christmas! Then we woke up Christmas morning, cooked some cinnamon rolls (but she did not eat hers until after we opened everything)! We started off with stockings and Emerson was in heaven, little did she know that was just the beginning! Then we headed to the front room for the tree presents from mom and dad and to see what Santa brought! She got a toy vacuum, (seems to be a fav), a rella castle, another fav, my little pony, books, a cabbage patch doll, some little people, John bought us matching silver sparkly Toms, and a Hummer power wheels! She was a little scared of the car, but we were just in our garage, we'll take her out in culd-a-sac tomorrow to show off her new car! Then we showered and headed over to gigi and bobs. We prepared all the appetizers as they were landing at DFW from FL. We snacked then headed in for more presents! At gigi's she got Lion King movie, Winnie the pooh movie, Cinderella's carriage, some clothes, pony books, absolute fav, some dress up things, a big tub full of all sorts of art supplies, and much more. John and I got a years worth of dish washer tabs, our favorite, and covers for our new patio furniture we received as an early gift, and some gift cards! We had such a wonderful Christmas and feel so blessed to have such great families. It's hard to believe next year we will also have a 6 months old!

Kid's Party

Michelle hosted a wonderful Christmas party for our play group this year! We drew names and each kid just bought 1 present for another! Emerson got a really cool wooden Cinderella magnetic thing that has tons and tons of different skirts, shirts, and accessories to change her! Emerson loved loved it. Plays with it everyday! I never would have thought to get her that, but I'm glad she got it! The party was so fun, Michelle set up a craft table where they made Xmas buckets and took home goodies in them! We had tons of snacks and yummy punch, my favorite part of parties! I forgot my camera so here are a few pics from my phone!

The next night we had John's company party and Michelle was kind enough to watch Em while she was watching her niece who is the same age. These girls partied all night! We got there close to 10 and she was still up and going strong! They had a great time!

Funny Saying

I've been rather lazy the last few weeks in my 1st trimester when I wasn't feeling well, etc. I'm in the 2nd now, and feeling much better. When I came out of my closet wearing jeans the other day, Emerson said "oooo pretty mom mom"! Made me laugh so hard, I wonder if she was embaressed of me the past few weeks!

Christmas Pics

My good friend Natalie was in on my secret since the beginning because I knew I would need her to take a family pic AND I needed someone to whine to about my nauseous. Here are the pics she took a few weeks ago, they turned out great as always! I look ugly, but I was nauseated, and needed a hair cut.

We actually weren't able to take very many family pictures, because Emerson would not sit still. After Nat got these few she was done. And we needed her shirt showing, BIG SIS!

Little toot, these were round 2, round 1 was with red lights and didn't turn out as expected, Emerson again had a fit right before these, so she is eating marshmallows in them, and only allowed these few to be taken!

Maybe in 2012 she will let us take some more:)
