13 Months!

At what age do we start counting in years and not months? Who cares, we celebrate every month birthday for Emerson in this house! We celebrated month 13 by getting some yogurt and playing, and then extended celebration to Monday when we had library and flu shot! I'm so excited for Christmas this year for Emerson. Last year I did not go crazy buying her things because she was only 2 months old! I did get her a few things, like books, soft toys, etc. Most were for really young babies, so I may pack them away after she sees what Santa has brought this year! We have been working day in and day on on HO HO HO! At first, she was patting my leg. Now she is onto my shoulder, and she even did her own belly one time! Her HO HO HO sounds more like a HA HA HA, but nonetheless you can tell what she is doing! We read her Christmas books every night, that I bought in June, I have been waiting so long to get them out! And this week kicked of the wearing of all her Christmas outfits!!! She's such a hoot, and is a little bit more fun each day! And for the moment, she absolutely loves brushing her teeth! Little stinker!

P.S. . Dada bought us a new car last week!! I sold my old car and got a newer version! I love it! It's a black Lexus RX 330! The best part is the build in touch screen with GPS, because I use it so often on my phone, and now I can do it safely! Thank you dada, we love you!

Thanksgiving!

We spent our 1st Thanksgiving in Wichita with the Sonsini's this year. My parent's came over and we loaded up and headed over! Emerson is always a little over whelmed because of the drive and so many people giving her lots of attention. She did pretty good this trip! We had a wonderful lunch and chat, then loaded up and headed home. When we got home my parents hung around a while to watch the Cowboy game, and then they headed out because my mom was braving the Black Friday crowd and working from 12-4 AM. Of course she did her own shopping around 4:30!

I got my blog book in from year 1, and it is amazing! It is hard back with a NB picture on the front cover, and a picture from her birthday party on the back cover! I recommend everyone who has any memories they want to cherish, start a blog and print it out every once in a while! Hopefully she enjoys looking back and reading about her babyhood someday!

Snug Bear

Snug Bear, or snuggy, has been a huge hit. She sleeps holding him at ALL times! Sometimes she is on top of him, but never letting go of course. I love going in there in the middle of the night, it makes her stir around a little, and she starts moving her arms around until snug bear is safe in them! As soon as I put her in her crib, she grabs Snug, sucks thumb, and is in her own little world! So glad Gigi found her a best friend!

Blog book of year 1 is ordered! I am SO excited to see it!

Happy Birthday/Halloween

Halloween is my mom's birthday so we went over for some lunch and a few houses. A block in their neighborhood blocks of the street and about 900 kids pile in to see all the decorations and food and festivities the block puts on. Emerson went to a few houses, it started to get crowded, and it was bedtime, AND since the Rangers made it to the World Series for the 1st time ever, we had to head home to watch game 5 (even though they lost:(, we only went to a few houses! Next year I will definitely take her back and she will have so much fun! Happy birthday GIGI!

This will be my last post for this book! All the rest will be for year 2 !

Happy 2nd Halloween baby girl!

Angel Baby

This year Emerson was an Angel for Halloween. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a costume she would only wear for 1 hour, so I just bought wings and glued cute ribbon and rhinestones onto a onesie! She was more of a ballerina/angel, but I thought she was cute! We had a Halloween party for the kids in her group at our house on Saturday night! It was so fun! The kids were inside and outside just running crazy, and there were toys EVERYWHERE!! The costumes all came off after the first 30 minutes, so I was glad I didn't spend a lot. It was a pot luck dinner, John grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, and we had LOTS of yummy sides! I actually forgot to take any pictures, so I will have to steal some from friends and make another post! But I did put her costume on the next morning, which was the 31st and snapped a few pics!

I can't believe a year has already passed:( I remember last Halloween being home from the hospital 1 day and just loving on my teeny baby! Now she is a big girl who is crazy and fun! Since I"m about to print the book, I wanted to add a few more things going on: She is really into opening and closing everything, loves pulling all the tupper ware out, she is a kissing monster, but it can get out of hand when she attacks with her mouth wide open and just rams into you ( we're working on gentle kisses), she LOVES other babies and watching videos of herself on my phone, she loves talking to her gigi on facetime, she eats just about anything and everything, she still loves going to library and music class, she is pulling up to her feet as of today!, she goes to bed around 7pm-7 45 am, and takes 2 naps during the day, still loves Hank, but he tries to keep to himself because she screeches when she sees him!, she said "hi dad" when John came home the other night! She talks a lot, but of course we can't understand anything yet! When I tell her No, or she gets mad, she crawls off with a mission!
