New do!

Emerson's hair has been growing like a weed, only in the the back. It was definitley a mullet..I was in denial for a while, but tonight I decided it was time for a trim! I cut it myself rather than taking her in since I was just doing the back part. She did great, John held her up to look in the mirror and in 2 quick snips, it was done! She is now sporting a short little bob! She looks cute! And I must say I think I did a great job for never having cut hair before!

Wagon

Got E a new wagon! Dad didn't get it put together till late last night, but we stayed up late and took it for a spin in the culd-a-sac! She loved it, threw a fit when I took her out! Here is the stinker in it today..

2nd Zoo Trip

The weather has been so nice lately, so we headed to the zoo this week for some fun! Emerson has been one other time ( when she was 13 months), and had a petting zoo at her birthday party, and was a happy camper both times. This time, she was scared of a few of the exhibits. She didn't mind the 10 month old baby cow, she was calling it a "diggy", which means she probably thought it was a large dog. She did not want anything to do with the penguins however! She didn't mind the flamingos or giraffes either. But the elephants and hippo got the cold shoulder. Oh well, I didn't force her to look because I didn't want to scare her, maybe next time she won't be scared! We had a great day with Natalie & Kade and Mindy & Brody!

Valentine's 2011

Here is my little Valentine this year! Started the morning off with her Valentine's basket, then went to library for class, then her friends came over for a baby shower and lunch for one of the mom's! She was busy today! I wish the weather would stay 70 all summer and not get into the 100's! It's actually been enjoyable outside for once!

15 month check

Boy will Emerson be glad at her 18 month check! She only has to get 1 shot (versus 3 from today's visit) and aside from a yearly flu vaccine, she is done with vaccines until she is 4 years old! Phew! Today's visit: 20.10 pounds, 2 ft 6 in, and head-17.5! She was in the 20th percentile for all! Dr said "we're not a big person"..haha! She doesn't get the tinniness from me!

Emerson had a great time watching the puppy bowl at Michelle and Clay's Super Bowl Party! She wanted to apologize to everyone for making them miss the opening performances because she was standing 2 inches from the TV! She was a crazy dancing women during the half time show!

Snow Day (part 2)

It has been icy/snowy for 4 straight days now! We did not go out the first day because it was pure ice, and we were still recovering from vacay, but we have had so much fun the last few days! We got 3.5 inches last night, so we had fresh snow today! John stayed home today and we took Hank out and Em out and made cookies (again), went to see Michelle and Clay and now were back home for a nap!

Snow Day Feb 2011

This February will mark Emerson's 3rd big snow storm in Texas (and she has also had snow in Colorado and DC)! She is a good luck snow charm! This storm has a lot of ice, unlike the others, and the degree is ONE! It's very chilly. We just got back from DC, and it was not this cold! We have been cooped up for 2 days straight now, and it's not looking like we will be getting out tomorrow! More snow is expected tomorrow and Monday! We love snow in this house! We stocked up on cookies and chili and soup and snacks and cokes and milk the night before the weather hit, so we are set to be lazy and warm in our jammies!
P.S. John had on shorts so on shorts so he could not stay out to get in a pic..
