2nd Egg Hunt

Our friend Kalan's 2nd Birthday party was an Egg hunt! It was so much fun! Although, we were unsuccessful at getting a group shot..

There were 5, but best I could get was 2! Haha! Em and Kade grillin'

WEEEE!!

They all had matching shirts with their initial and names! So cute!

18 months

Emerson had her last set of shots until she is 4 years old! Yesterday was her her 18 month check, she had to have a little blood drawn, and 1 last shot! She weighed 22 pounds, she was 2 feet 6.8 inches and her head was 17.5. She was in the 25th percentile for everything! She had a great visit, and is very glad to be done with the shots!

This age is already proving to be so fun! She is running around like a wild woman. Some of her "isms" are: shutting the door to the room your in, then knocking on it. Yelling BYE when leaving or if somebody is grabbing their keys. Yelling, and I mean yelling, Thant you WELCOME when the waiter sets your drink down. Reaching with crab claw hands when she wants something your eating. Making all sorts of animal noises when she sees one she knows, her favorites are elephant (and she puts her hand over her mouth, thinks she is doing a trunk..), monkey, and she does the motion.., lion, DUCK, and "rah", giraffe, bear, bunny, "kiki" kitty, but my favorite is Hippo! She's talking a lot more, and following short commands such as, let's go take a bath, go to mom's room, Emerson's room, etc. She can point out most body parts, especially loves to show her belly. She likes to pretend she is shaving and brushing her hair anytime I'm in the bathroom. And her best friend is still "bubba", Hank. That was her 1st official word, and now that she can chase him she's in heaven. Every morning when I wake up, Hank stays tucked in while I brush my teeth and get Em. But when I go in her room, she pops up yelling, Hi Bubba, Hi Bubba.. Poor girl, one day she's going to say Hi to me instead of her best friend that avoids her at all costs! We're having some behavior issues when we leave fun things, such as play areas. She goes into an all out fit, hair pulling, slapping, and grabbing whatever she can get her hands on. The DR said not to worry, this is normal and at it's worst years right now, but it should end by age 4! YIKES!

Other than that, all is well over here! Just enjoying everyday with this little stinker!

Spaghetti! And this is the way my 2 kids eat..

The 3rd and final egg hunt we went to at friend Kade's neighborhood!

Sand table fun! This seems to be her favorite outdoor activity at the moment! Thanks Gigi for the table!

Easter Sunday

For Easter this year we went over to my parents house. I wasn't really feeling the traditional Easter food, so we made queso, home made mac&cheese and shrimp fajitas! Emerson got to open her 2 baskets that the bunny left, and then we went outside to play with some of the new goodies! It was a fun day, holidays are the best part of every month now that I have a daughter! Completely forgot to get a family pic! :(

Coloring with the new markers and crayons Gigi gave her!

The bunny (gigi) left one golden egg with money!

She ended up with lots of fun goodies!

Easter / 18 Month old Pics

Michelle and I took E out to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens last weekend! We went early thinking it would be nice weather. We were wrong. It was already so HOT, and it was very windy, her pig tails kept getting blown out! But we managed to get some great pics! I'm so happy with the way they turned out, I can't wait to get some printed! Thanks again Michelle!
She loves playing with wipes!

such a sweet little bunny!

Walking! At last!

I wear my sunglasses at night...

She kept heading towards the pond!

Keller Egg Hunt

We took Emerson to the Keller egg festival with Mindy and Brody this morning. It was a lot of fun. There was a petting zoo, jump houses, and TONS of people. They gave away all sorts of goodies including a free tree to plant at home! Emerson loved saying hi to the pony, but when it was her turn to ride, she chickened out! So we moved on to the Easter Bunny, she grabbed onto me when I sat down, but she looked that bunny right in the eye and said HI! So cute. But she would not give him a high five. They had eggs and bags of jelly beans spread out for her age group to hunt. Emerson loved grabbing the jelly beans, so we now have about 25 bags of those! On a side note, Emerson is recognizing lots of animals now and trying to make all their noises! She has the horse and lion roar down, and she has her arms mastered for a monkey! Ready..set..GO!!

all the jelly beans we collected...

Petting zoo!

Easter Bunny, then home!
