Rain fun

As soon as we got back in town we got hammered with rain!

Maryland trip

We just got back from a trip to the east coast to stay with our friends in Maryland. I didn't really have an itinerary or plan like I normally do and we had the BEST time ever! The girls were calling themselves sisters which was so cute. We went into DC one day and visited some things we didn't on our last trip, which included the Ford House (it just so happened to be the 151st anniversary of Lincoln's death the day we went so that was neat). We toured Mount Vernon which was amazing. We played outside, had an outdoor movie, the adults had drinks and we just had an awesome time. The last day we visited the capital, Annapolis. This is one of the cutest little towns I have ever been too and I wish we had more time. The Stephens' were amazing host and we are so thankful they let us stay with them!
3:30 am- ready for our flight!

blankets on, lovies in hand, "pacis" in- I thought, man they will pass out and this flight will be so easy. Nope, they had other plans
lunch time! Em hopped in the van and they started chatting like they were old friends!
Maddy found a caterpillar
we had a patriotic parade
breakfast with the crew!
She asked for curls and I thought she look rather cute
they didn't let poor Hattie have a second to herself
my kids and the washingtons. They fit right in, you can't even tell they don't belong
 family!
they wouldn't both look but I thought both pics were cute

we can't go anywhere without stopping at a water fountain if we see one

DC the following morning! Maddy's first visit to the white house !

Em was having a rough morning, here they are fighting over a spot in front of the white house!

Peterson house (where Lincoln was brought after he was shot and where he died)
Also a fun little tid bit about the Peterson house : Maddy and I took a bathroom break and she fell in the toilet :) love that story ! Her dress got all wet and her booty!
cutest little waffle house

abe hats!

she read an entire abe lincoln book!

a little history, this is the church Dr Mudd and Booth demised their plan to kill Lincoln
and this is Mudd's house still standing. Built in 1645. This is very near my friend Natalie's house we stayed at
